SiFu Lee was Yip Man’s last close door/private disciple in Hong Kong. He migrated to the NYC in the early 1970’s and found his SiHing, SiFu Duncan Leung, another closed door disciple of Yip Man. He soon became SiFu Leung’s assistant instructor of his NYC Great Jones St. school in Soho NY. SiFu Leung soon left NYC for Virginia Beach to teach the Navy Seals, and various law enforcement agencies.
SiFu Lee and his family eventually moved to Virginia Beach as well, where he opened up a chinese food market and was able to assist SiFu Leung again. SiFu Lee learned much from SiFu Leung. He not only considered him his SiHing/older kung fu brother, but also his SiFu and mentor.
SiFu Lee eventually moved back to NYC and opened his own school, Wing Chun NYC and taught for over 30 years before his untimely passing in 2016.
Long Island Wing Chun started out as a satellite school for Wing Chun NYC and opened it’s doors in Huntington, NY in 2002. Long Island Wing Chun is led by SiFu Peter Koo, SiBak Ronnieo Jow and SiSuk Johnny Liu.
Our mission is to pass the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu to the next generation in its entirety as it was taught to us by SiFu Allan Che Kong Lee.
